At the last minute, as a way to relieve some of the spam problems, I have
created a new list SPECIFICALLY FOR Folk Alliance showcase announcements.
If you are showcasing at Cleveland, PLEASE send an announcement to
showcase@grassyhill.org
even (or ESPECIALLY) if you did NOT type in hundreds of addresses from the
registration list and spam everybody already. If you have wanted to
announce your showcase but did NOT have the time to organize a mailing list,
this is ONE ADDRESS you can announce to. (I recommend sending Plain Text
because it looks much better in the archives.) You do NOT have to be a list
member to post an announcement.
If you want to join the list and receive showcase announcements, either
individually or in a daily Digest, visit
http://grassyhill.org/showcase
and fill in your email address where it says "Subscribing to showcase." Or
you can send email to
showcase-request@grassyhill.org
with this in the message body:
subscribe
Even if you don't join until later, or don't join at all, you can still read
the announcements already sent by browsing the Archives, accessible through
the same page:
http://grassyhill.org/showcase
For next time we will provide a way to let you "opt-in" to this list at the
time of registration. For now, take a look and let me know if you have any
suggestions. And send in your showcase announcements!

[Alan sez: and if you are doing an INFORMAL showcase, please be sure that Victor Heyman has your information for his annual Folk Alliance spreadsheet, available via his website at http://209.8.7.110/fashow1.htm
I won't leave home without it. It's my bible when trying to plan my showcase itinerary at the conference. Be sure that he gets your information in time to add it.]
