First, I'll second Jake J's comments on Folk Alliance in Cleveland - my
gratitude goes out to everyone who so consistently make taking part in all
this such a powerfully positive experience. I am continually amazed by not
only the abundance of talent, but also the caliber of personage in this
community. (I did miss Annie Wenz though! :))

Onto house concerts... After two years of booking the now infamous Fox Run
digs, and several months of talking about humble little house concerts in
my own abode here in Clinton, NY, I'm finally gonna take the plunge. The
inaugural event is set for Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3pm with Dogwood Moon. I
haven't scheduled anything else yet, as the life schedule is a bit crazy at
the moment, but rest assured that there's more to come.

For those who aren't familiar with Dogwood Moon, let me just say that
likely won't be the case for long. The duo, who are Jonathon Grossman and
Laurie Gunning, truly stood out at Folk Alliance, and after years of hard
work, it seems that the world in general is finally starting to take
notice. Winners of this year's Napa Valley Music & Wine Festival
songwriter's competition, Dogwood Moon is a folk/pop duo whose songs are
filled with tight vocal harmonies; they get your blood pumping with their
powerful energy one moment and then yank your heart out in the next, but
ultimately it's their warm and infectious live presence which is most
affecting. Check 'em out at http://www.dogwoodmoon.com/ .

For more information about the concert and/or reservations/directions, you
can contact me by phone or email (see below). As with most house concerts,
seating is limited, and therefore reservations are a must. Being left out
in the cold could be a very unpleasant literal in central NY in February!!

Huge thanks to Jake Jacobson, Sally Johnson, and Stephanie Corby for all
the support, encouragement, and offers of assistance - not to mention the
Tanqueray-inspired brainstorming at the unforgettable Morton's of
Cleveland. ;-)
