Are other people out there listening to Ellis Paul's new live album? I
haven't seen it mentioned yet.

I've been a big fan of Ellis's lyrics for years and loved seeing him in
concert, but the sound of his studio albums is sometimes just a little too
close to rock for my tastes. "Live" is fabulous--almost all acoustic
(there's still some electric guitar on a few songs), Ellis's singing the
strongest I've heard him, a wonderful selection of songs from his four
previous albums plus a bunch of new songs and some of his spoken-word
pieces. (It's a 2-CD set, which lasted almost the entirety of the two-hour
drive I took yesterday.) My ears have been happy all week.
