Hi All -After an incredible summer and start to our fall season, we are
planning an equally exciting schedule for the next few months. On
Saturday, November 4th, Stephen Fearing will be here with Vanessa Trien
opening!

We realized that Stephen is not well-known in this area. But, he should
be! When Neale and I saw him in the spring, we were totally knocked out by
him - GREAT guitar playing as well as great songs. (A friend just called
to say that he loves Stephen's latest CD. He said that Stephen is a cross
between Richard Shindell and Willy Porter.]

[BTW, if you only read the beginning of e-mails, don't forget that on
Saturday, November 25 is John McVey and Eleni Kelakos at Fox Run.]

Now, back to Stephen Fearing: Stephen has four solo albums, four JUNO
nominations (Canadian equivalent of a Grammy) a raft of enthusiastic press
notices and fifteen years of experience on the club, theatre and festival
circuits to his credit. He is a Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist
who has firmly established himself as a solo recording and touring artist
with few peers.

"His virtuosos acoustic guitar playing is world-renowned, and he is
generally acknowledged as one of the best performers on the contemporary
folk circuit." -- NETWORK Magazine

"As songwriter, singer and guitarist, Fearing is remarkable for his lyric
Irish cadence buttered on a slice of Canadian hard-life landscape." --
HOUR, Montreal

As most of you know, I generally do not get turned on by a CD…..but
Vanessa's is the exception. A few weeks ago, she was the only woman who
shared the stage with Tom Rush at Sanders Theatre. We love her voice as
much as we love her songs.

This is one concert you should not miss!

We have added a new way to pay for those who prefer using their Visa or
MasterCard: We have joined Paypals: www.paypal.com; hit send money, and put
in my e address. If you do use Paypals, please e-mail me. If you are not
a member, and sign up with my e address, we each get $5. Mine will go to
JRI, the homeless teen clinic. Paypals is our first choice for payment
since it is so easy.

RSVP: All JRI contributions are tax deductible. In addition, donations of
clothes and/or toiletries for the clinic are always welcome, as are
additional cash contributions. Send all checks to: Laurie Laba, 57 Fox
Run Road, Sudbury, MA 01776. Reservations and payment are required in
advance to help us avoid seating/attendance problems the night of the concert.

Please remember that Fox Run is a non-smoking adult and mature teen venue,
that there are four small doggies competing with the performers for your
attention, and that we always appreciate pot-luck contributions of
desserts, beer or wine. (No red wines, please.)
