Thanks for the "Live From New York" review. As a relative newcomer to the big 
city (three years ago), I have been starved for some down home folk. I have 
often found it ironic that in this capital of the world to often find myself 
in the middle of nowhere. The article mentioned a couple of spots to listen 
to folk music (like Arlene Grocery and the Living Room), but I would 
appreciate if any other web watchers savvy to NYC could list a few places I 
might visit, both to listen to music and to play (short sets, open-mike, 
singer-songwriter). Just so I don't go on thinking this is the place where 
the music died!
